Documents obtained through an OPRA request show that the district spent $42K on scheduling consultants after cutting the Director of Guidance position.

Supt. Bing said the district would hold transportation meetings with community members in the coming weeks. “We are looking for better and intentional methods to gather input from stakeholders around such topics as transportation.”

The district is also using leftover COVID funding to cover the costs of arts & music and other materials, after making cuts in the 2024-25 budget.

The technology often used at concerts will be coming to a SOMA school or two near you this year.

Families should receive their bus passes on Wednesday, Sept. 4. A bus app and geo-locator system will be introduced in the coming weeks. Parking enforcement and crossing guards are at the ready.
