In addition to this being the 155th anniversary year of the founding of Maplewood, this is the 50th anniversary of the Maplewood Community Pool!
We will be celebrating the 50th anniversary on Saturday, August 6 (rain date August 7).
Details as follows:
- Saturday, August 6, pool open 10:00 am – 8:00 pm as normal, 50th anniversary special events planned for 12:00 – 2:00 pm
- Ribbon cutting and welcome remarks from Mayor Vic DeLuca
- Recognition of original founding members
- Dive exposition by collegiate divers from Seton Hall, William Patterson, as well as the Maplewood Manta Rays.
- Pool games will be hosted by the pool staff at each of the 3 pools for children of all ages.
- The inflatable obstacle course will be set up in the 6 ft section of the pool and lawn games and activities will be running while the pool is open.
- Come for a special treat and activities from the 60s.
- DJ Jimmy to play hits from the 60’s throughout the afternoon
