From the Township of South Orange Village:

The next step in the Village’s RFP process for the 298 Walton Avenue property  will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. on the Main Stage of the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC), 1 SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ 07079.

This public forum will follow this format:

Introduction

5 to 10 Minute Presentations by each Proposing Entity

  • Wagmore Inn: Dog Animal Day Care and Boarding
    • YMCA: Child Care and After-school Programming
    • Run Jump Lift: Fitness Facility
    • People For Animals: Dog and Cat Spay and Neutering along with Village Animal Sheltering

10 to 15 Minutes of questions from the public immediately following each presentation only about that specific proposal.

Public Comments – We will conclude the meeting by allowing the public to provide comments/opinions (which will not include questions or answers) about the various proposals.

In the week following the public meeting, the 298 Walton Avenue Committee will reconvene to discuss the proposals and ultimately make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees. We anticipate that the Board of Trustees will make a final decision at the December 12, Board of Trustees meeting. This timeline is tentative and subject to change.
