From the Ethical Culture Society of Essex County:
On Sunday, October 4, The Ethical Culture Society of Essex County will celebrate more than 40 years as a peace site and will rededicate its location on Prospect Street in Maplewood as the first New Jersey SANE/NJ Peace Action Peace Site, established more than 40 years ago.
The presentation of the Society’s history as a Peace Site, and its on-going commitments to promote Peace, will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with the rededication ceremony on the front porch afterward from 12:45 to 1 p.m. and will be followed by a buffet luncheon.
Informational handouts, peace song sheets and copies of peace poems will be available during the luncheon.
All are welcome to join this festive occasion and plan for other Peace Site Activities during the year ahead.
