New Jersey Primary Day is Tuesday; Voters to Choose Gubernatorial Candidates

New Jersey voters will head to the polls for the Primary Election Tuesday, June 6 to choose a candidate to run in the November general election to replace Gov. Chris Christie. It is a crowded field, with six Democrats and five Republicans running. Read WYNC’s Voter’s Guide for information on candidates and their positions on major issues.

Locally, there are two seats up for election on the five-member Maplewood Township Committee . Terms are for three years. Mayor Vic DeLuca and newcomer Dean Dafis will be running together on the Democratic slate. Republican Mike Summersgill is again seeking a spot on the Republican ticket.
