If you’re planning to attend Wednesday’s free, outdoor Concert in the Park at Flood’s Hill, why not stop by a little early so the whole family can also partake in a cool, al fresco art experience.

The Montclair Art Museum (MAM) Art Truck is a mobile open studio housed in a retrofitted ice cream truck that offers free art projects and lessons in local communities, according to MAM’s website.

The truck makes appearances at festivals, concerts, farmers markets and community pools to help raise awareness of the museum and its art programs.

Well-known New Jersey artist Dan Fenelon will be driving the truck to South Orange this summer, offering free art activities for kids and families. Fenelon’s work can also be seen at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC).

The MAM truck will be at the South Orange Pool Wednesday from 3-5 p.m., and then will drive up to Flood’s Hill for the concert from 6-8 p.m.

If you miss the truck this time around, you can catch it again at the South Orange Pool on July 23 from 3pm-5pm followed by a return engagement at the next free concert at Flood’s Hill from 6pm-8pm.

The truck will also be at Maplewoodstock on Saturday, July 12 from 12–6 p.m.

For a full schedule, visit MAM’s website.
