The article, “Perk Up, NJ!” is the cover story of April’s issue, and highlights top coffee spots across the state.

Singling out The Able Baker’s “buttery, fresh-from-the-oven scones” and other “delicious” baked goods, the article states, “The coffee is terrific.” The bakery uses the Corsica blend from famed Philadelphia rosters La Colombe. “It’s a food lover’s coffee,” said owner Julie Pauly in the article.

Also named was Coffee Mill Roasters in Millburn, which The Village Green highlighted in this article on top breakfast spots in Millburn/Short Hills.

And coming soon to South Orange, mini-chain Mara’s Bakery gets the nod for “delectable, bakery fresh desserts” as well as its compressive coffee selection. “…the Columbian Supremo house blend is memorably smooth and dark,” according to the article.

Mara’s is set to move into The Gateway apartment complex in South Orange Village later this month.
