Two Irvington men were robbed while walking on Franklin Terrace near Woodside Road on Thursday, said Sgt. Christopher Black of the Maplewood Police Department.
At approximately 8:45 p.m., they were approached by two men who demanded their belongings, said Black. One man showed a handgun while the other took their cell phones and cash. The men then fled on foot. The victims were not injured, said Black.
The men described the first suspect as an African-American man in his mid- to late-20s, approximately 6’1″. The second suspect was described as an African- American man in his late teens or early 20s and approximately 5’6″. Both suspects had on dark colored jackets and dark hooded sweatshirts, Black said.
