Maplewood Police Arrest Three Youths in Theft from Auto

Maplewood Police responded to a report of an auto alarm going off and three males attempting to open car doors in the area of Parker Avenue on Sunday at around 3:10 a.m., said Sgt. Christopher Black. Officers found three youths nearby and after a on-scene investigation, arrested them, Black said. Two were charged with trespassing, and one was charged with burglary and theft from a vehicle, said Black.

August 25, 2015; Theft from Auto; A resident of Midland Blvd responded to the police department and reported that their unsecured vehicle was entered overnight and that documents and change were taken.

August 26, 2015; Burglary; Between 12:30 and 2:30 PM, an unsecured home on Valley St was entered and Jewelry stolen.

August 27, 2015; Bicycle Theft; Sometime over a two day period a bicycle and helmet were stolen from the Maplewood Train Station.

August 27, 2015; Bicycle theft; At approximately 6:30 PM, three juvenile males convinced a juvenile to let them borrow his bicycle. Once the juvenile victim allowed them to use his bicycle they road off on it.

August 27, 2015; Motor Vehicle Theft; During the overnight hour a Chrysler parked in a private parking lot on Springfield Ave was stolen.
