According to Inside Higher Ed, if the March Madness of men’s college basketball was based on academic performance, Seton Hall University would finish in the Final Four.

Seton Hall returns to the actual NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2006 after winning the Big East Championship against the third ranked team in the nation, Villanova.

“Our student-athletes have proven time and again, that excellence in the classroom, in addition to on the fields of play, is of the utmost importance,” said Seton Hall Vice President and Director of Athletics & Recreation Pat Lyons.  “Articles like these give a glimpse at the hard work and dedication of these young leaders.  We’re delighted to see them recognized in this manner, but we’re certainly not surprised.  Seton Hall’s academic prowess, both in and out of the athletics department, continues to grow by the day.”
