The MDC recently took further action on the “county line”, passing resolutions in support of office block ballot design, as well as supporting a County Democratic Convention to vote for the endorsement of candidates.

Petitions to run on the ballot in the June 4 primary as either Republican or Democrat are due to the Maplewood Township Clerk at close of business on March 26. No Republican has successfully run for TC since the 1990s.

The TC seats held by Mayor Nancy Adams & Deputy Mayor Jamaine Cripe are up for election; the two officials have not yet announced their candidacies. The MDC will endorse all qualified candidates.
