The South Orange Library 2016 Book Sale is June 11 and 12 at The Baird Center, 5 Mead Road, South Orange, between Vose Ave. and N. Ridgewood Rd. Shop a large selection of gently used books ranging in topics.
The sale allows SOPL to raise funds for the library while creating an enjoyable event for the book lovers in the community.
Don’t miss The Bag Sale, Sunday June 12 from 10 a.m. -3 p.m. No need to bring your own bag: Patrons will be given one bag for each $8 purchase and they can fill that bag to overflowing! If you can no longer fit any in, buy another bag!

Looking to donate some books? The Library will gratefully accept your donations. BOOK DONATION DAYS are Wednesday, June 8 (11am-4pm) and Thursday June 9 (3pm-8pm) at The Baird Center. Note: Donations cannot be accepted at the South Orange library!
Here’s what the SOPL will accept as donations: All type (genres) of books – gardening, crafts, art, CHILDRENS, novels, hardcovers, paperbacks, fiction and non-fiction, Sci-fi, romance, how-to, parenting, etc. They also accept music CD’s DVD’s and book on CD, childrens games (only if all parts and pieces are included), puzzles (with all pieces).
They CANNOT accept the following items: cassettes tapes, or VHS tapes, computer text books, dictionaries, any type of text book, no dirty, moldy or wet books. Volunteers will take a quick check to assess books before they are donated to assure that problem items are not accidentally donated.
