The following is from Montclair Public Library:
Montclair Public Library and its Foundation are hosting Alan Cumming at the Main Library on Saturday, October 15 at 2 p.m. As part of the Open Book/Open Mind series, Cumming will have a conversation about his book You Gotta Get Bigger Dreams with Montclair native Frank Hentschker.
From his Tony-award winning performance in Cabaret, to Hamlet on the London stage, to his role in The Good Wife, Cumming is a genuine triple-threat as an acclaimed stage, television, and film star. He will discuss his career and his new book, full of personal photos, real-life stories of louche late-night parties, backstage anecdotes, and memories of loves and friends.
Hentschker will lead the conversation. He is Executive Director and Program Director for CUNY Graduate Center’s Martin E. Segal Theatre, where he founded the PRELUDE Festival and the PEN World Voices Playwrights Series.
There are a limited number of seats by reservation. Remaining seats are first come, first served. Books will be available for purchase from Watchung Booksellers.
The 2016 Open Book/Open Mind series is sponsored by Susan and Thomas Dunn.
