Montclair Public Library Hosts ‘Lincoln Center Local’ Free Screenings this Fall

Montclair Public Library has announced its fall 2016 lineup for Lincoln Center Local: Free Screenings series, which offers streams of programs from Lincoln Center’s growing digital content collection, including world-class performances from Live From Lincoln Center and other previous live events.

Mozart Celebration

Tuesday, October 4 at 7pm

This festive all-Mozart program features the exquisite Piano Trio in B-flat major, K. 502; the charming Horn Quintet in E-flat major, K. 407, and the exuberant Viola Quintet in C major. (Run-time of 55m 4s)

Live from Lincoln Center: Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton

Saturday, November 5 at 2pm

Danny Elfman descends on Lincoln Center with a live concert that vividly conjures his unforgettable Tim Burton film scores—including BatmanBeetlejuiceEdward Scissorhands, and Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Run-time of 1h 51m 11s)

Magos & Limón

Wednesday, December 7 at 7pm

Jazz singer Magos Herrera—dubbed “the Cassandra Wilson of Latin America”joined forces with “oft-fiery” (Jazz Times) composer and flamenco guitarist Javier Limón to produce an album of American and Latin jazz standards entitled Dawn (2014). The duo performs songs from the 2014 album fittingly described as “a first encounter between two musicians destined to fall in love.” (Run-time of 31m 42s)
