The following is from the South Orange Performing Arts Center:
Richard Olate, and his son Nicholas Olate, lead The Olate Dogs in a high-energy, fast-paced canine theatrical act filled with dog tricks, human acrobatics, and nonstop movement of man and dog alike. The act will be appearing on the SOPAC stage November 5th at 7pm. The Olate Dogs are the winners of the seventh season of America’s Got Talent, in which they won the $1,000,000 prize and went on to headline The Palazzo in Las Vegas. The Olate Dogs VIP Tickets include premium seating and a post-show meet & greet and an opportunity for photos with the talent! Tickets are $25, and $75 (VIP Ticket) and can be purchased online at SOPACnow.org, or by calling the box office at (973) 313-2787.
Richard Olate came from a family of 22 children in Chile. As a young boy he adopted a stray dog and began teaching him tricks, and soon they were performing at local schools and fairs. He always dreamed of leading his own dog variety show and in 1989 he immigrated to America with his dogs. Soon after, he met his wife Rebecca, an acrobat, in a show they were booked in for two years. They married and now their son, Nicholas, is his father’s right hand man on stage. They tour around the country and are regularly seen at major sporting events as well as on national television programs such as FOX’s Cause for Paws, The TODAY Show and The Tonight Show.
The Olate dogs will appear at SOPAC November 5th at 7pm in what surely will be a fetching performance. Tickets are $25 and $75 (VIP), and can be purchased online at SOPACnow.org, or at the box office at (973) 313-2787.
