Mara’s Café & Bakery, which opened at The Gateway in downtown South Orange last summer, has closed.
The closing was confirmed by Bob Zuckerman, executive director of of the South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA).
Mara’s, which offered pastry, gelato, sandwiches, salads, coffee and more, was owned by franchisees Will and Alyse Eisenstein. Mara’s has other locations in Denville, Berkeley Heights and Fanwood.
The Village Green has reached out to the Gateway’s landlord and will update this article when we receive more information.
