From South Orange Animal Hospital:

Due to the recent pandemic of COVID-19, the staff at South Orange Animal Hospital would like to ensure we are doing our best to keep the safety of our staff and clients as a top priority.

Going forward in compliance with practicing safe “Social Distancing” we are asking that when clients schedule appointments, upon arrival at the hospital, please wait in your cars and call the office at 973-763-2600. This will alert that staff that the patient has arrived and is ready for the appointment. We are asking you to leave the best number where the doctor can reach you to discuss what is going on with your pet before or during the office call.

These appointments are not considered  “drop off” appointments. We ask that you wait in your car during the appointment; a staff member will come out to the car to pick up your pet.

Please make sure if you are bringing in a cat he/she is in a carrier. All cats MUST be secured in carriers. Dogs MUST be on leashes.

After the exam is completed a front desk staff member will call to process Credit Card Payments. Once payments are processed a technician will bring your animal outside along with go home instructions and/or medications.

For medicine renewals or food renewals we ask that clients call prior to pick up so that we can gather any medication or food that is needed. We will process the  payment over the phone and leave everything out back labeled with the client’s name in a secured bag.

We appreciate your cooperation with these new procedures.
