Four automobiles were stolen in Maplewood this past week, according to the latest blotter from the Maplewood Police Department. Three of the four vehicles have been recovered.
On September 1, a Dodge Ram pickup truck was reportedly stolen in the overnight hours from in front of an Elmwood Avenue residence.
Also overnight, on September 5, suspects stole a VW Passat from the Walgreens parking lot on Springfield Avenue and a Nissan Maxima from an open garage at Springfield Avenue and Rutgers Street. Both vehicles were recovered in Newark. Also that night, an unsuccessful attempt was made to steal a Jeep parked in the Walgreens lot.
Finally, at 10 a.m. on September 6, a Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from a Lombardy Place residence. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark.

September 3, 2014; Robbery; At approximately 7 PM, an adult female from Irvington was walking through the Extra Supermarket parking lot. She was approached by a male that grabbed her gold chain and pushed her down before fleeing on foot. The victim sustained a minor laceration on her elbow and denied medical treatment.
September 5, 2014; Burglary; Between 10:15 and 11:45 AM, two burglaries were committed on Jacoby St. A wallet and laptop were proceeds of those burglaries.
September 6, 2014; MV Theft; At approximately 10 AM a Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from a Lombardy Pl residence. The vehicle was later recovered in Newark.
September 6, 2014;MV Damage; Several vehicles parked in the lot of 467 Valley St were forcibly entered and gone through. Nothing was reported taken at the time of the reports.
