Katie O’Leary, a Columbia High School sophomore, has qualified for the World Irish Dance Championships. This past Thanksgiving, O’Leary competed in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Irish Dancing Championships (the “Oireachtas”) in Philadelphia. From that performance she qualified to compete in the World competition with a group of only 18 solo dancers. The Championship competition will take place in Dublin, Ireland on April, 2017.
