You’d love for your kids to learn to ski, but lessons and gear are just too expensive, right?
Not any more.
The South Mountain YMCA has just received funding for a new ski lesson program starting this Sunday, February 14, and running four additional Sundays on Feb. 21 and 28 and March 6 and 13. Equipment fitting takes place Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. at 13 Jefferson Ave.
For only $125, children ages 6-18 years will get ski rental equipment, five professional ski lessons, transportation and a healthy meal. The skiing takes place at the National Winter Activity Center in Vernon, NJ. Buses leave from the Y At 13 Jefferson Avenue at 10:30 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.
Space is limited; registration deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 10.
Said Kate Cestar Epstein of the Y, “We’re thrilled to be able to offer affordable skiing.”
