Supporters of CHS Principal Frank Sanchez, who has been charged with simple assault & child endangerment, read portions of a “review of opinion” that said Sanchez had not violated district Affirmative Action policies or engaged in behavior unbecoming a public school official.

After confusion and fear surrounding Code Yellows at CHS, Acting Supt. vows stricter enforcement of student IDs, limited entrances, door alarms and technology upgrades.

Despite joking that the community is seeking a superhero, the search firm assured the small audience at Monday’s forum they are committed to finding the best person for the job.

“I plan to give back through mentorship with the hope of encouraging young girls who look like me to pursue careers in STEM.” 

In addition to a shortened vacation week in November, school will start a day earlier and the December and February breaks are a bit longer.

Students, parents and community members spoke passionately for and against the turfing of Ritzer Field. The Board of School Estimate will vote on the entire proposal on February 13.
