The following is from Maplewood Township:

On Tuesday, February 16th Maplewood DPW (Shade Tree Division) will be removing three (3) trees from the southeast corner of Ricalton Square. This is the southeast corner of the grass/walkway area near the two US Postal boxes. DPW requires necessary space for their equipment, therefore MPD will be required to block off parking spaces on the south side and east side adjacent to the square.

On Monday, February 15th DPW will drop off barricades at Ricalton Square. Prior to 0600 on Tuesday, February 16th MPD will utilize the above mentioned barricades to block off every space on the left hand side of Ricalton Square from the entrance on Maplewood Avenue to the apex, continuing left, blocking off seven (7) spaces on the left side heading north. MPD will affix “Emergency No Parking” signs to every barricade erected. Also utilize “No Parking” tape as needed. Please see site plan above.

During this event, traffic will still be allowed to flow through Ricalton Square and parking will be allowed across from where this work is taking place. For safety and/or logistical reasons if it is deemed necessary and additional space is needed the West Post/West Traffic Officer will assist DPW with extending the workspace. This is not anticipated, but if necessary MPD will block off additional spaces as residents using the parking lot vacate their spaces and also attempt to locate vehicle owners and have them move their vehicles.

DPW anticipates having all work completed on Tuesday, February 16th. The will break down and retrieve the barricades. In the event that this work is extended into Wednesday, February 17th the above arrangements will be repeated for one additional day.
