The South Orange Jewelry and Art Exchange (SOJAX) is presenting its first art exhibition opening on Thursday, July 17 from 6-8:30 p.m. at 67 South Orange Ave.

SOJAX’s in house gallery, Compelling Images Fine Art, owned and operated by Jacquelyn Roesch-Sanchez, will present “Color Grid Re-Visions” featuring the collage paintings of Florence Weisz, according to a press release.

The exhibit will present abstract art works on paper that combine free-flowing organic forms within geometric structures, featuring Weisz’s signature technique of using color pigments dissolved in alcohol. Her signature collages are “both intuitive and analytical – art that appeals to the heart and the intellect,” according to the release.

Also on display are the photographs of Joseph Grisafi, a Bronx native who resides in South Florida. Grisafi is inspired by the natural beauty of South Florida’s flora and fauna and uses photography and digital graphics as his medium.Compelling Images Gallery

In collaboration with Ross Fields of Robyn Ross Jewelry, Compelling Images Fine Art will be showcasing an extended collection of limited edition fine art prints all created and signed by artists from the NY art scene circa 1975-present. Over 250 handcrafted prints and works on paper comprise this eclectic collection. A diverse collection of fine jewelry and diamonds along with Native American, Mexican and Jorge Jensen jewelry offset by original hand-crafted scarves round out the offerings on display.
