This December, the 1978 Arts Center will hold its annual holiday Art Shop featuring small scale, affordable original artwork and crafts by local and regional artists.
Many new artists and artisans have joined us this year for our annual fundraiser. 20% of sales are donated to 1978 to help fund the special events, teaching programs and workshops throughout the year.
Featured works for sale include those by: Sarah Petruziello, Marguerite Brennan, Mike Schloff, William Billec, Gary Berson, Jo Bradney, and Sybil Archibald.
The shop will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am- 5 pm, on December 10th, 11th, 17th & 18th.
The 1978 Maplewood Arts Center is located at 1978 Springfield Avenue, Maplewood, NJ.
Special events this season include:
December 9th, 7-9pm: Opening Reception, Preview for 1978 supporters and friends and family of the artists
December 10: 10% Discount for “Friends of 1978”, New “Friends of 1978” supporter applications will be accepted at the door on December 10th to receive the 10% discount
1978 Maplewood Arts Center is a community space dedicated to the arts. The Center provides classes and workshops, art shows, film programs and live performances—and provides a forum for artists to work, exhibit and interact. 1978 Arts Center operates under the supervision of the Maplewood Township Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs.
