The Vanessa Pollock Team presents $2,500 to Achieve Foundation and SOMSD
The Vanessa Pollock Music Initiative, in partnership with the Achieve Foundation, launched a community-wide fundraising campaign this past August, with the goal was of raising $2,500 to be matched by the VP Realty Team for a total of $5,000.
The $2,500 goal was met, and the Vanessa Pollock Realty Team of Keller Williams Midtown Direct presented a donation “matching” check of $2,500 to the Achieve Foundation on October 10.
Vanessa and Charlie Pollock, along with Director of Marketing for the VP team Bonnie Ramsey, presented the check to Deborah Prinz and Robin Peacock of the Achieve Foundation, with James Munno Fine Arts Director for the South Orange-Maplewood School District also present. The Awards Ceremony for the 2016-2017 Vanessa Pollock Music Initiative of the Achieve Foundation Scholarship Recipients will take place on October 27 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Columbia High School. The entire community is invited to attend and celebrate the students.
The Vanessa Pollock Music Initiative was founded to help:
1. Repair/add to the Music Instrument Inventory for the entire SOMA School District.
2. Provide scholarship funds to in-need students, for the rental of band/orchestra instruments.
3. Provide private music instruction and instruments to in-need prodigious students.
