Are you arty with a good heart? Here’s the holiday gift to ask your family for, or buy for someone else. New business A Sip of Art is a BYOB paint and sip art studio with a twist: painting meets giving.
Customers make a reservation to paint their very own masterpiece while enjoying wine with their friends, and at the same time, they are helping to donate a portion of sales to a selected list of charitable organizations including St. Barnabas NeoNatal ICU, West Orange Animal Rescue, and Pink for Africa – among others.
With the motto, “paint, sip, give back”, founder Efe Cierkowski says the idea and resulting business model was simple – and just right. “My favorite quote is the one that goes, ‘To whom much is given, much is expected.’ I truly believe in that idea so it naturally followed that when we open a Sip of Art that we also take some of that revenue to give back to worthy causes locally and nationally. A business with a social consciousness.”
Available for private parties, girls night out, birthday parties (adults and kids), date night, fundraisers and more, A Sip of Art opens in January 2016 at 235 Prospect Ave in West Orange in the Whole Foods plaza. The owners invite you to take a peek inside this month, while they are putting the finishing touches on their own masterpiece.
