Once again, Park Wood Diner owners Pete and Fifi Kikianis will bring holiday cheer to local senior citizens with a complimentary dinner.
The dinner will take place Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 5-7 p.m. at the Maplewood Senior Building, 564 Irvington Avenue, Common Room 1st floor, Maplewood. All seniors are welcome.
Live music with a five piece band featuring Jim Buchanan and the Glenn Franke’s Big Band will play Christmas and holiday tunes. A meal with all the trimmings, including cake and pie for dessert, will be served.
The idea for the dinner arose last year when Pete Kikianis asked Maplewood Mayor Vic DeLuca what he could do to give back to the community. DeLuca suggested a dinner for deserving seniors.
Kikianis, wife Fifi, their extended family and Park Wood employees volunteer their time and resources to prepare the meal and serve it to the diners.
