From Bob Zuckerman of the South Orange Village Center Alliance, via “Village Vibe”:
For the second consecutive year, the South Orange Village Center Alliance brings a great holiday pop-up shop to our community.
Last year, our pop-up store was part of Main Street New Jersey’s great NJ350 program — a statewide celebration of New Jersey’s 350th birthday. This year, we’re on our own, but the shop is still great, with over 20 local artisans, designers and craftspeople selling all sorts of cool gift ideas.
We’ve got organic soaps, South Orange typography prints, beautiful jewelry, men’s and women’s clothing, cool artwork, games and much, much more. If you can’t find great gift items at Pop ‘n Shop, well, then, you’re one tough customer because there truly is something for everyone.
The store is located at 65 South Orange Avenue (the former Love and Yogurt store) next to Indulgence Spa and Boccone South, and it’s open Thursday through Sunday, this week (Dec. 3-6) and next week (Dec. 10-13), from 12-8 p.m. each day.
See a complete list of vendors the South Orange Village Center Alliance website. We even have free gift wrapping, and all the tips on the gift wrapping will go to Furry Hearts Rescue, a wonderful local animal rescue organization.
Oh, one more thing. What would you think about a pop-up food event at our pop store? It’s happening! On Saturday, December 12, after the tree lighting ceremony, Kimchi Smoke will be kicking up the finest Southern Korean BBQ north of the Mason-Dixon line and west of Seoul! Award winning chef Robert Cho mixes both southern and Korean flavors together for the best BBQ food around. He’ll be serving up his kimchi smoke on December 12 from 5-8 PM at Pop ‘n Shop, so mark your calendars!
Pop ‘N Shop is not the only store popping up in our Village Center this holiday season. TJ’S Boutique (formally located at 9 Village Plaza) has a pop-up shop at 122 South Orange Ave. Pop in for some great holiday gifts including shoes, handbags, jewelry and so much more.
