According to a report from NorthJersey.com, the Stop & Shop super market chain is acquiring 25 A&P, Pathmark and Waldbaum’s stores in New York and New Jersey — including the Pathmark located on Valley Street in South Orange — as the stores’ current owner, A&P, files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
A&P is closing 25 other store locations throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware.
