The Turtle Back Zoo is hosting its first-ever Barktoberfest adoption event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 29.
Meet adoptable cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, and sizes— and find a new furry best friend to give a forever home.
Whether you already have a pet or are adopting at the event, there’s fun for all. Enter your pet in our Halloween costume contest for the chance to take home great prizes. You won’t want to miss our DJ, photo booth, face painter, food trucks, animal enrichments, and MORE!
All proceeds benefit participating shelters and rescues, including Friends of the Livingston Animal Shelter, an affiliate of the Healthy Community Healthy Youth Initiative of Livingston, and the Zoological Society of New Jersey. This event is hosted by New Jersey’s #1 zoo, Turtle Back Zoo, a facility of the Essex County Parks Department.
