Family and friends will celebrate Nana Brown’s life in Montclair and Maplewood on September 12.

Spears, who trains at the NJ Fencing Alliance in Maplewood, will fence Women’s Sabre for Jamaica at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in the Dominican Republic.

One parent asked the Board of Education to “stand up for paras who are being devalued and bullied by this cut”, as another explained that the district should look into why the paras were all demoted to Level 1 employees. “When we fail to value experience, our students pay the price.”

Superintendent Bing laid out the $423-million long-range facilities plan, which is essentially a wish list of every project the District administration feels is necessary over the next five years.

Following the Honk Parade kickoff at noon, over 70 bands will play on 37 porches — walk or take the jitney to see them all!
