Village Administrator Julie Doran says while the construction is moving forward, the schedule is tight and pool work is difficult because there are just a few months a year when it can be done.

Hannah Zollman, who launched the Co-Lab in downtown South Orange, was lauded by the South Orange Village Council for her contributions to community building, volunteerism and local engagement.

The Village is encouraging participation from the community — from local park conservancies to historical and environmental groups — “to ensure the initiative reflects the priorities of our residents.”

“It’s amazing to see what a teenager’s mind can do with Shakespeare’s stories,” said CHS Shakespeare Festival advisor & teacher Stephen MacPherson.

The race honors the life Meghan Doyle, a 2005 graduate of MSDA. Meghan grew up in SOMA and attended Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange. Her parents, longtime residents of Maplewood, remain active members of the community today.

“I live at this intersection and my kids cross this intersection several times a day,” wrote one resident about the intersection of Prospect and Elmwood/Oakland. “This is an amazing improvement to their safety!”
