Maplewood Police reported a shoplifting incident at the Extra Supermarket on February 22. At around 1 p.m., officers responded to the market for a reported shoplifting, said Sgt. Christopher Black. Store management said they saw a man in his 40s or 50s allegedly attempting to take several containers of detergent from store, Black said. He ran away through the parking lot before police could arrive.
