South Orange Police arrested a teen in an early morning robbery of a woman walking near Valley Street and South Orange Avenue on August 10. At around 6:20 a.m. the woman was walking west when two young men jumped out of a white vehicle and grabbed her pocketbook before fleeing south on Valley, said police.
Following leads, detectives went to to the area of Lindsey Ave. in Newark that afternoon, where they saw one of the men walking. With help from other detectives and officers the detective arrested the teen, a Newark resident, who was found to be in possession of an item belonging to the woman. The investigation is continuing at this time.
