Lydia Johnson Dance (LJD) is currently accepting registrations for LJD Dance Camp, which runs from July 6 – July 24 at the Burgdorff Center in Maplewood Village.
Register now through March 1st and receive $25 off!
Local, critically-acclaimed artists, Lydia Johnson and Geralyn Robinson are teaming up to give children a combined dance and visual art experience in a fun camp setting, in the heart of Maplewood Village.
Students can foster their creativity guided by professional working artists to learn ballet, choreography, painting and design — while experiencing classic fun summer camp activities like water balloon fights and pizza parties.
LJD company members and teaching artists instruct students in Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Choreography. The camp is open to dancers from 1st grade through high school from beginner through advanced. Students study technique as well as learn to choreograph their own dances.
The camp runs from 9 a.m-1 p.m. Monday through Friday. One-, two- and three- week sessions are available. Students may also participate in an extended day by taking classes at Geralyn’s Art Studio in the afternoon.
