Are you homebound for the February winter break? (The South Orange-Maplewood School District is close Thursday and Friday, February 12 and 13, as well as Monday, February 16).
The Maplewood Recreation Department is coming to the rescue for two of those days (Thursday and Friday) by offering a two-day skills and drills clinic to keep the kids fit and active — and away from electronic devices.
The clinic will give players an opportunity to work on their skills through different drills and competitions. The Maplewood Recreation Department staff and Middle School Basketball coaches will put the players through a series of drills that will “enhance the players skill and understanding of the game.” The program is open to all boys and girls in grades 1-8 who live in Maplewood or South Orange.
WHEN: Thursday, February 12 and Friday, February 13
– Grades 1-4 will play from 9 a.m.-11:30 p.m.
– Grades 5-8 will play from 12 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.
