To the Editor,
We are writing in support of Chris Sabin and Annemarie Maini, candidates for South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education. We met Annemarie and her family 10 years ago through karate, lacrosse and football. We have known Chris for 9 years through his boys’ involvement with football and lacrosse.
Chris being a native of Maplewood has an understanding of the importance of academics and athletics. He supports the local community sports and can always be seen chatting with locals as well as parents of visiting teams. He is an advocate for helping the students voice their opinions on matters of athletics and academics.
Annemarie has been so involved in the schools on so many levels as well as community events. She is passionate about the educational developments of the children and their well being. I can remember many Board of Education meetings where she has spoken out on the problems she sees in the district.
Reading through their campaign declaration from July 23, you can clearly see how they plan to implement their strategies to better the parent/student experience in the South Orange–Maplewood School district. Annemarie and Chris are ready to listen to concerns from the community regarding our school district and make sure everbody’s voices are heard.
We can see the passion Annemarie and Chris have for our schools and would like you to join us in our support of their candidacy and vote for them on November 3.
