To Whom It May Concern;
My name is Shauna Brice. I’ve been a resident of South Orange for the past 9 years and have three children. My oldest daughter has already graduated from Columbia High School and my son and second daughter remain.
The purpose of this letter is to give my personal endorsement for one of the Board of Education candidates, Shannel Roberts.
These are a few of the character traits that come to mind when asked to speak on Shannel and her character.
- Dedicated
- Disciplined
- Passionate
- Stick-to-it-iveness
Shannel and I initially became acquainted through our daughters, Alexis and Sarai. As parents raising young children in the district we both had our share of challenges and disagreements with regards to how the district operates on a whole. Concerns were voiced but more often than not they were merely acknowledged and never acted upon. Consequently there has been and continues to be a dire need for more dedicated and effective representation within the Board of Education.
When Shannel expressed her desire to run for the Board of Education (partnering with Elissa Malespina and Mirian Raab) I was absolutely elated. As a seasoned Executive Assistant, Shannel possesses a stick-to-it-iveness quality which makes her all the more effective at following through on any and all issues presented to her. The same level of followthrough holds true to her life outside of the office. To effectively bring on change one must understand the reasons why change is necessary. Shannel is not a politician looking for recognition. She is a passionate dedicated parent whose reasons for running for the School Board are 100% personal.
The Roberts, Malespina and Raab team will definitely be receiving my vote on November 3!
Sincerely,
Shauna Brice
