The Maplewood Recreation Department will be holding tryouts for their upcoming travel basketball teams. Teams are open to interested players in grades 4-8. Boys teams are open to Maplewood Residents Only. Girls Teams are open to Maplewood AND South Orange Residents. Players who wish to tryout should have an advanced skill level and knowledge of the game. Tryouts will consist of fundamental drills, conditioning and team scrimmaging. Through the process, players will be evaluated and teams will be formed at each coach’s discretion. Players are expected to attend BOTH tryouts. Pre registration is preferred via the Maplewood Recreation Online Registration Site at: https://register.communitypass.net/maplewood
Boys Dates and Times By Grade: (Open to Maplewood Residents ONLY)
8th Grade Boys: Saturday October 15 – 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. & Tuesday October 18 – 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
7th Grade Boys: Monday October 17 & Wednesday October 19 – 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
6th Grade Boys: Monday October 17 & Wednesday October 19 – 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
5th Grade Boys: Tuesday October 18 & Thursday October 20 – 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
4th Grade Boys: Saturday October 15 & Saturday October 22 – 10:00 am to 11:30 am

5th & 6th Grade Girls: Monday October 24 & Wednesday October 26 – 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
