That’s Henry Peacock finishing strong in the second annual Two Towns Triathlon for Kids on Saturday, June 20, hosted by the Maplewood Recreation Department. Henry came in first in the Boys 9-10 category with a time of 19:10.0.
For the triathlon, children in four categories from ages 7-14 completed a swim at Maplewood Pool, a bike ride to a loop near Maplecrest Park, and a running course in the park. Distances ranged from a 50-yard swim, 1.25-mile bike ride and half-mile run for the 7-8 year olds, to a 200-yard swim, 3.25-mile bike ride and 2-mile run for the 13-14 year olds.
The event was open to children from Maplewood and South Orange and was sponsored by Winchester Gardens and Roman Gourmet.
Below is a list of 1st and 2nd place finishers. The course maps and race rules are also attached.

- Boys 9-10 – 1st place Henry Peacock of Maplewood with a time of 19:10.0; 2nd place Miller Nelson of South Orange with a time of 20:19.4
- Boys 11-12 – 1st place Luc Francis of South Orange with a time of 28.42.8; 2nd place Alex Klint of Maplewood with a time of 34:01.2
- Boys 13-14 – 1st place Elias Verdon of Maplewood with a time of 31:20.5; 2nd place Ruben Artzi of Maplewood with a time of 33:17.4
