From South Orange Middle School:
The SOMS Model UN has recently returned from the Global Classrooms International Middle School Model UN conference in New York City. Fifty-two students were excited, engaged, collaborative and industrious during the 3-day conference. Our delegation represented the countries of Belize, Bangladesh, the Comoros and the Czech Republic. Students grappled with multiple issues including the militarization of space and child labor. Ms. Hazel Allison-Way and Ms. Abigail Ratner won an award for their work in the UNESCO committee! We are proud of the SOMS MUN delegation!
