The Maplewood Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs is sponsoring a day of family-friendly activities on President’s Day, Monday, February 15, at The Woodland.
Here’s what’s in store:
Music for Aardvarks
10:00 AM
An interactive music experience with singing and dancing for kids 3 months to 6 years old
Children $5 at the door-Parents get in Free!
West African Drumming, Singing & Dancing Workshops
11:30 AM Children 7 – 10 years old
1:00 PM Adults and Children 11 and older
An hour long participatory program that will bring everyone to their feet! Traditional drums, bells and rattles will be provided.
Led by Julliard and Manhattan School of Music West African Music instructor Robert Levin
FREE! FREE! FREE! Workshops will be limited to 100 participants
Outdoor Movies Indoors at the Woodland
National Treasure – Rated PG Showtime 2:30 PM
Not quite under the stars but plenty of space, so bring your chairs and blankets to spread out and enjoy this tongue-in-cheek romp through American history
