SOMSD Board of Ed to Hold Public Retreat Feb. 12 to Focus on Ethics Training, Budget Development, and District Programming

From the South Orange Maplewood Board of Education:

The Board of Education will hold a public Board Retreat on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in the District Meeting Room, located at 525 Academy Street, Maplewood, NJ. Following the opening of the meeting, the Board will immediately adjourn to continue the retreat in person. The retreat will focus on the Annual Ethics Training, budget development, and the role of the Board in approving and shaping district programming. No formal action will be taken.

Community members can sign up to provide audio comments to the Board of Education.  Audio comments can be provided by connecting to the district’s Webex platform during a scheduled Board of Education meeting.
