The yearly accolade by the New Jersey School Counselor Association celebrates professionals who serve as advocates and lifelines for students throughout New Jersey.

“It’s what CHS is all about. Amazing course offerings that allow students to grow and engage in ways they never would have otherwise,” say the co-leaders of the Shakespeare Festival Club.

Citing timing and budget concerns, BOE member Regina Eckert reported that the district would delay posting the job until the next budget year is discussed.

The district hopes to have a “significant amount of the project completed by March 2025.”

SOMSD Supt. Bing: “Authorities have confirmed that the student does not threaten the school community. The post appears to have been taken out of context, but we are grateful for the proactive actions of the student who raised the concern.”

Math scores for Black and economically disadvantaged students ticked up, but there is “still a lot of work to do,” said Asst. Supt. of Curriculum Ann Bodnar. Also, 70% of students with an IEP did not meet proficiency standards.
