U.S. Women’s Foil Team Gold Medalist Jackie Dubrovich — and her coach Brian Kaneshige — made their triumphant return to the NJ Fencing Alliance in Maplewood.

Dubrovich trains at the New Jersey Fencing Alliance in Maplewood and is coached by her fiancé and CHS grad Brian Kaneshiga.

Dubrovich is headed for Paris with the USA women’s foil team.

“It is beautiful,” said NJFA Director Frank Mustilli looking around at the new space, “and we’re going to turn out a lot of champions out of here — a lot of champions.”

Although he has been offered spaces in Union and East Orange, Mustilli says, “If I have to go to another town, I’m done. Because this is it. South Orange-Maplewood is known for fencing. If SOMA can’t find me a spot, then it’s done.”
