Although the leaf collection schedule technically ends this week, residents of Maplewood will enjoy one more week of leaf pickup courtesy of the Department of Public Works.
New DPW Director Calvin Bell says that “in order to ensure that all leaves have been removed, I have instructed DPW to complete another tour of the entire Township through next week. Any leaves that are out will be removed through December 19, 2014.”
Leaf collection is over in South Orange, noted Village President Alex Torpey at the December 8 meeting of the South Orange Board of Trustees.
If you still have leaves in South Orange, you must dispose of them yourself or have your landscaper dispose of them properly. Leaves are accepted at South Orange Public Works center on Walton Road.
