Maplewood water main replacements scheduled to begin on or about March 2 have been delayed slightly, probably due to the weather, according Township Engineer Thomas Malavasi.
However, Malavasi reported that NJ American Water should begin work soon on Lenox Place where they have stored some pipe on the street.
In February, the Township announced that NJ American Water would begin construction to replace several water mains in Maplewood, with work taking place on Everitt Place, Lenox Place between Maplewood Avenue and Ridgewood Road, and Summit Avenue from Baldwin to the town line with South Orange.
The Township will close roads to through-traffic during the work, but residents on the streets will have access to their homes and emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass.
The plans can be found on the Engineering page of the Township Website under Upcoming Projects.
