Maplewood CFO Peter N. Fresulone, who passed away July 17.
Maplewood Township announced today that its Chief Financial Officer and Tax Collector, Peter N. Fresulone, passed away on Thursday at the age of 63.
The wake will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Galante Funeral Home in Union, said township officials. The funeral is Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Galante; doors will open at 10:00 a.m.

Peter N. Fresulone 63, of Springfield, formerly of Union, passed away on Thursday July 17. 2014 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston.
The funeral service will be conducted in the Galante Funeral Home 2800 Morris Ave. Union on Tuesday at 11 am. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 pm.
Born in Newark he lived in Union for many years before moving to Springfield 15 years ago. He was the Chief Financial officer for the Twp. of Maplewood, N.J. for 10 yrs. Peter was very proud of his work as CFO in Maplewood, but he was even prouder of his accomplishments as a pastry chef at Orso Restaurant in New York City, and as owner of Paradiso Restaurant in Montclair, NJ.
He was the son of the late Caroline (nee Ferrara) and Peter Fresulone, as well as the brother of Carmel Robertson and her husband Gene, Carole Pascarella and her husband Domenick, and the late Angelo and his late wife Doris Fresulone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
