If you think the holiday season has become too hectic and too commercial, St. Joseph’s Church in Maplewood wants to help you kick off the season in the right frame of mind.
Fr. Jim Worth, pastor of St. Joseph’s, also happens to be an accomplished musician. Fr. Jim will be offering “Thanksgiving Solace: A Musical Meditation” at the church on Friday, November 20, at 7 p.m.
“There will be religious music as well as contemporary and popular sacred and secular music. All are invited,” wrote Fr. Jim, who will be singing and playing piano. “It’s an hour of peaceful, relaxing music in a darkened church with candlelight. The music will sooth your soul and bring you to a greater sense of calm as it washes away the stress of everyday life.”
The event is free to the public.
