The Maplewood Chamber of Commerce will honor lifelong Maplewood resident Jim Buchanan at its Annual Dinner on Thursday, September 17, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at Maplewood Country Club.
Buchanan is the recipient of the Chamber’s 2015 Distinguished Service Award. Read Susan Dillon’s excellent Matter Magazine story detailing Buchanan’s work as former Cultural Affairs Director for the Maplewood Recreation Department and his role as a co-founder of Maplewood Community Music. Dillon details how Buchanan has had a hand in almost every signature arts venue and event in town over the past few decades. Buchanan has also long been active as a member of the Hilton Neighborhood Association.
